A Chinese Mainland spokesperson has promised no major changes to its Taiwan policy, in the wake of the island's recent leadership elections.
Speaking about the "Economic Cooperation framework Agreement" and the amendment of the "Cross-Strait agreement Supervisory Act", the spokesman reiterated China's position, saying that the basis of the negotiations should not be damaged, while authorised negotiations and all signed agreements should be protected.
The Mainland and Taiwan belong to the one China. Cross-Strait relations are not a "state-to-state relationship". If the Taiwanese keep delaying their decision, the biggest victims will be the the people and economy of Taiwan.
