拉美大使对与中国关系持乐观态度
CCTV sat down with a few of the ambassadors of Latin American countries to China. They talked about ties with China, and were positive on president Xi Jinping’s visit in expanding cooperation in economy, energy and many other areas.
When it comes to bilateral ties between China and Brazil, the numbers say it all. In the last 13 years, trade volume has increased more than 30 times, reaching 90.3 billion US dollars in 2013. Brazil is the first developing country to establish strategic partnership with China. Cooperation in finance, energy and telecommunication has also expanded.

"The relations between China and Brazil have gained momentous progress in recent years. Although the two countries only established diplomatic ties 40 years ago, bilateral relations have grown rapidly in the recent five to ten years." said Valdemar Carneiro Leao, Brazilian Ambassador to China.
Argentina is the second stop of President Xi’s Latin America tour. Bilateral trade has continued to grow, hitting over 14 billion US dollars last year. China is now Argentina’s second largest trade partner, and third largest source of investment.
"The cooperation between Argentina and China covers wide areas... both countries are members of the G20, and have conducted frequent exchanges, and deepened political mutual trust." said Gustavo Alberto Martino, Argentine Ambassador to China.

The Venezuelan Ambassador said China has been a very important partner to his country, and President Xi’s visit will further that partnership.
"We believe that President Xi’s visit is very significant in terms of strengthening and promoting bilateral relations between China and Latin American countries." said Ivan Zerpa Guerrero, Venezuelan Ambassador to China.
The visit also seeks to consolidate economic ties between the countries.
