Dear Lucy,
I'm Li Hua, one of your students. I'm writing to sincerely invite you to join us in a meaningful activity this coming Double Ninth Festival, which falls on October 21st this year.
We've planned a visit to the local nursing home to spend this special day with the elderly. We'll set off at 8:00 a.m. from our school gate and return around 4:00 p.m. During our stay there, we'll have a variety of activities. First, we'll participate in the traditional Chinese activity of making dumplings together with the old people. It's a great opportunity for us to learn from them and share the joy of cooking. After that, we'll put on a small performance for them, including singing, dancing, and even some traditional Chinese instrumental music.
