Dear Chris,
I hope this email finds you well. I'm writing to invite you to a picnic I'm organizing next weekend. The participants will include some of our closest friends and classmates.
We plan to meet at 8 a.m. on Saturday at the school gate and will head to the nearby mountains for a day of hiking and enjoying the fresh air. After the hike, we'll have a delicious lunch together in the scenic area.
It's going to be a lot of fun, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Please let me know if you can make it by replying to this email.
