With its vibrant colors and elegant appearance, the peony symbolizes peace and prosperity, earning it the title of "King of Flowers" in China. Many regions across the country cultivate and grow peonies. Over the centuries, numerous poems and paintings have been created to praise the beauty of the peony. During the Tang Dynasty, peonies were widely planted in royal gardens and were honored as the national flower, making them particularly popular. In the 10th century, the ancient city of Luoyang became the center for peony cultivation, a status it has maintained to this day. Nowadays, thousands of domestic tourists flock to Luoyang for the annual Peony festival to admire the unique beauty of Luoyang's peonies and explore the history of this ancient capital of nine dynasties.
