Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a news report to your campus newspaper on a visit to a local farm organized by your Student Union. You should write at least 120 words but no more than180 words.

On a sunny Saturday morning, our Student Union organized an exciting visit to a nearby local farm, attracting a large number of enthusiastic students.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly farmers. They first took us on a tour around the vast fields. We saw rows of lush green vegetables, like cabbages and carrots, growing vigorously under the nurturing sunlight. The farmers patiently explained the whole process of cultivation, from seed - sowing to harvesting, which made us gain a deeper understanding of the hard work behind our daily food.
Next, we participated in some hands - on activities. Some students helped with feeding the lovely animals in the barn, such as rabbits and sheep. Others tried their hands at picking fresh fruits. The sweet aroma of the fruits filled the air, and our baskets were soon filled with juicy strawberries and plump peaches.
This visit was not only a great opportunity for us to get close to nature but also a valuable lesson in appreciating the efforts of farmers. We all left the farm with unforgettable memories and a new - found respect for the agricultural industry.
