The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, located in southwestern China, covers an area of approximately 2.3 million square kilometers with an average elevation of over 4,000 meters, earning it the nickname "the Roof of the World." Rich in natural resources and boasting breathtaking scenery, the plateau is home to a variety of rare wildlife species. due to its low temperatures, vast alpine glaciers have formed across the plateau. It serves as the source of many well-known rivers in Asia and is a major freshwater resource for China and Southeast Asia. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is of vital importance to the global ecosystem. However, influenced by climate change, the glaciers on the plateau are melting at an accelerated pace. China has been making continuous efforts to protect the ecosystem of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, resulting in an increasing grassland coverage rate and more effective conservation of many endangered species.
