The Ming Dynasty, which ruled China for 276 years, is often depicted as one of the greatest eras of orderly governance and social stability in human history. During this period, the development of handicraft industries promoted the market economy and urbanization. A large number of goods, including wine and silk, were sold in the market. Meanwhile, many foreign goods, such as clocks and tobacco, were also imported. major commercial centers like Beijing, Nanjing, Yangzhou, and Suzhou successively emerged. It was also during the Ming Dynasty that fleets led by Zheng He undertook seven large-scale exploratory voyages to the Indian Ocean. Additionally, it is worth noting that three of the four classic masterpieces of Chinese literature were written during the Ming Dynasty.
