Not only do Chinese people travel domestically, but traveling abroad is also becoming increasingly common. During the National Day holiday in 2016, total tourism consumption exceeded 400 billion yuan. according to estimates by the World Tourism Organization, China will become the world's largest tourism country by 2020 and will witness the fastest growth in outbound tourism expenditure in the coming years.
