Part Ⅳ Translation (30 minutes)
The year 2011 marked a historic moment in China's urbanization process, with the urban population surpassing the rural population for the first time. Over the next two decades, it is estimated that approximately 350 million rural residents will relocate to cities. Such large-scale urban development poses both challenges and opportunities for urban transportation. The Chinese government has consistently advocated a "people-oriented" development philosophy, emphasizing the use of public transportation over private cars. It has also called for the construction of a "resource-conserving and environmentally friendly" society. With this clear objective in mind, Chinese cities can better plan their development and redirect substantial investments towards the development of safe, clean, and economical transportation systems.
