Methods: SHR were randomly divided into resolving dampness group, calming the liver group, calming the liver and resolving dampness group, Enalapril group and model group, with the Wistar-Kyoto ( WKY) rats used as normal control group. They were treated for 8 weeks.

方法：SHR随机分为化湿组、平肝组、合方组、依那普利组和模型组，并设Wistar-Kyoto（WKY）大鼠组作为正常对照，治疗8周。

METHODS: Intracellular free calcium concentrations were measured by Fura 2 methodology and left ventricular function quantitated by cardiac catheterization in 20 SHR aged 10, 22, and 34 weeks and 20 age-matched Wistar-kyoto ( WKY) rats.
