Ads carrying the slogan 'Find it. Make it. Sell it' will run in print magazines like Fast Company and across the Web on sites like CNN Money, said Kelly Sang, general manager of Alibaba.com Americas.

It should benefit from added sales on Alibaba.com, which is one of its smallest online marketplaces ( others include Taobao, a Chinese language consumer-to-consumer site, and Tmall, a business-to-consumer site).

The FT contacted multiple sellers of proliferation-sensitive technologies in China found via Alibaba.com and 1688.com, and all said they were willing to sell without licences and end-user certificates normally demanded of such transactions.
